Which elite for farming MM?
I farm oro/fa, and I'm wondering which elite I should take.
Considerations: definitely NOT SS, because that'll hurt the regular SS's
Needs to be something I don't want to use a lot, because all energy needs to go to raising and healing mins. Just something you occasionally cast.
It can be any class, as I don't need monk stuff to heal mins.

OoB, for the quick energy hit. Only downside is the increased sacrifice since update, but I find that particularly in SF, you need that energy when the corpse drops or the binders will beat you to it.

OoB is the default and even with the increased sac penalty on it, you're going to be glad you have it when you need another summon before someone else dies.

Mantra of recall is an ok option. No health sac, and still get energy.

There's also the option of bringing Tainted, but then tanks don't always move around so it can get spread by the Deep Knights that trigger it. :P
Then there's always the option of bringing in an elite from your secondary. :d Like for example, if you feel adventurous, you can bring Greater Conflag + Winter so that even your minion'll interrupt when shivers is casted on a target. x)
NOTE: You don't HAVE to bring in an elite; I don't. =)

yeah, it just seems like you should bring an elite, even though it may not fit in with an MM build.
I have used tainted flesh, maybe I'll go back to that.
I don't really think I need OOB. I have really no problem beating the binders because I have bortak set + bloodstained boots. Mana recovery is rarely a problem.
I'll check into mantra of recall.
Hopefully in factions there will be a new elite that is geared for MM's. Maybe something where your next min won't suffer degen, or you get some really mean new min.
re: winter........doesn't that only make elemental damage into cold damage? Fiends dish piercing damage, which is physical, so I don't think that would interrupt with shivers. Also, I wouldn't want to dedicate 2 skills to this.

Conflagration changes physical damage to fire damage, then winter changes elemental damage to cold damage.
As for your original question, personally, I'd go for Well of Power.

re: conflagration -> winter.......might be more useful in non-farming situations, like ring of fire area...........2 slots for 1 minor thing, not sure that's good.......
anyways I'll check out mantra of recall and glyph of energy

MM is one of those build where there really isn't an elite that fit in very well. It is completely okay to go in with no elite, I do it all the time when I play my MM.
But if you must take an elite... my suggestion would be glyph of energy, as that can help you out on the high energy cost of animate bone fiend. Although I rarely find myself out of energy as a MM since stuffs are constantly dying, which fuels my soul reaping.

You know what i think?
I think i never need OoB.
You know why?
If your a good MM who has the right equipment you have enough energy to constantly raise minions especially when you get inside why would you ever need energy when you have essence bond on th warrior I dont have time to cast OoB because I'm to busy constantly casting bone fiend or horror.
I guess it depends on how much energy you go with too I always have 50 energy when i go in and i dont run out even when i have the bonelaced boots that take a quarter of the time off of the skills targeting bodies.
Once most of the bodies are used and i have a lot of minions out I use AotL some people think that it just halves your health so that when you sacrifice to heal minions your saccing 10% of about 200 instead of about 400
but it actually cuts the sacrifice percentage too so your sacrificing 5% of your half health. When i cast veretas sacrifice i get a -18 instead of a -70 or so.
But i think the glyph of renewal would work nicely and it eliminates the chance of essence bond being stripped by dark binders
but really i dont get why anybody would need energy with essence bond on your stance tank i could go in with 5 soul reaping and as long as essence bond stayed up id be fine on energy
